$1 = 1,000 credits. Each message deducts credits based on the actual AI work it required — the models used, task complexity, and tool calls — as a single, predictable line item. Image generation has a fixed per-image cost (3–10 cents depending on resolution and model).
Yes. New accounts receive $5 in starter credits (5,000 credits balance) on signup, which lets you try the platform — full safety stack included — before subscribing. Once the starter credits are used, paid features pause until you choose a plan or top up credits.
Every subscription includes a monthly credit grant — for example, all Tech Ringer Core plans include 20,000 credits per billing cycle. Every tier of a product receives the same grant: higher tiers unlock more capability (models, workflows, specialists, API access), not more credits. Grants are non-rolling: unused grant credits expire when the new grant lands. Need more? Credit packages never expire and can top up any plan.
Yes. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) is supported for major model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google). Your key is used for your own AI calls — chat and agent task model calls — and those calls bypass metered pricing: you pay your provider directly, we log the usage in your dashboard for visibility, and no credits are deducted. Safety and infrastructure calls — input guardrails, PII scanning, response validation, titles and summaries — always run on Tech Ringer AI's own models and keys, never on yours, so the safety stack stays independent of your key. If your key is ever unavailable (revoked, removed, or unreadable), your assistant keeps working: those calls fall back to Tech Ringer AI's models and are billed as normal metered credits until your key is available again.
Family plans include per-child profile management, content category filtering, and the parent dashboard. Team plans add multi-tenant org switching, role-based access control (owner/admin/member/viewer), and consolidated billing. Both share the same underlying safety stack and audit log infrastructure.
We support a 10% overage grace period that's deducted from the following month's grant. Past that, paid features are paused until you top up. The platform never silently auto-charges — you stay in control of spend.
Yes. No long-term contracts. Cancel from the dashboard at any time. On cancellation, you keep access to any unused starter or purchased credits. You can export data anytime and request permanent deletion when you're ready.
